My favourite piece by him is probably "Sonatina für radio" for piano solo and the airplane sonata. Goddamn~

I love that piece! I actually first heard it on Art of the States, too. Something about it reminded me a little of Picasso, actually...

Sorry guys but didn't enjoy as much as you - sounded as if Antheil was trying too hard to show the ridiculousness of the sentimental tunes and mnake clear his concept - BTW I love the concept.

I won't disagree it is a constructed pretty well - just the end result to my ears is rather flat in that I get the idea after the first 30 seconds.
