I just started improvising last year, and I'm desperately trying to improve - mainly focusing on the flow of the pieces.

Only been improving for year! Well it sounds like you worked pretty hard that year. The pieces sound fantastic I particularly like "My bird hopped up on caffeine". Improvisation is something I have never really been that good at so I have a lot of respect for people that are good at it.
