A short piece

This is the first real piece that I'm 'happy' with. So I though I'd share it with you all. I plan to make changes to it later on and maybe add an accomp part. . . . tell me what you think :)

A short piece

is this guitar? the sibelius score wont open. the piece really lacks any sort of momentum and thematic ideas. Some runs..chord...some runs..chords. Sounds pretty enough. I would suggest starting with something simple like a piano score with melody in the right hand hand accompaniment in the left hand and work on building themes and ideas to get some good basic comp skills.

I like your overall ideas. I think a lot of the problems here are from this horrid midi rendering. If you could post us a nice version for us to review.. it'd be much appreciated.

I think that is a little too easy-going, myself: there isn't a lot of development, and development is almost always necessary in a solo-instrument piece. This is pretty, but it is something that would be played as background music at a picnic of friends getting together or something, so far. It does have potential though...
