Inventio a2 C-dur

A small contrapuntal piece for 2 voices

Inventio a2 C-dur

Enjoyable and really elegant!

Charming little piece... nice main idea/figure. Very Baroque of course especially with harpsichord. I assume you wanted this - it is more of an exercise in period writing. I love the little meanderings into the minor too. Gives it interest. Well done. :)

As already said, a charming piece :) Maybe it's because I don't have a good ear, but I thought it was repetitive at times, feeling that I'm just listening to the same phrase over and over, but maybe I'm just noticing the small changes. I liked it though :)

I think you are right, Silasj. It is repetitive at times :),the reason being my modest composition skills.Hope I'll get better with time.

Very entertaining!

I like how you change the emphasis between the right hand and the left using the trills in both hands, interchangeably. It adds spice to a piece that is repetitive in nature!

And it may be repetitive, but it's so charming and disarming it hardly matters. Perhaps a little bit of change in rhythm would benefit the piece (because sometimes it does get stuck in the same rhythm for a while: it starts to wear a little thin by the end of the piece), but it's nothing major.

Thanks for sharing! :D

Fantastic! This really sounded a lot like Domenico Scarlatti to me in many respects. Great work.
