February 14, 201016 yr Crucifixion is an ancient method of painful execution in which the condemned person is tied or nailed to a large wooden cross (of various shapes) and left to hang until dead. (from Wiki) This is the thematic music, crucifixion is the theme. However, the protagonist of works is myself , I have in life are killed by their own dark side, finally, my own dark side of her crucifixion. Heart back into white. Crucifixion
February 14, 201016 yr Hi angela! I love the theme. What a dark motive. This is serious music. Really good. I really like this, maybe because it is close to the idiom I love. I think it is quite well developed. I hope you want to tell a bit more about how you composed this. New theory? I love the development around ms 120. Reminded me of a development section of a Tschaikofsky symphony (I think the 6th?) I noticed the oboe is way too high in ms 22 and further. And there are some collisions to take care of, If you want this ever to be published or played
February 15, 201016 yr Yes, this is a nice "dark" theme; I like it. Consider adding more articulations/phrase markings, particularly to the string parts (unless you really want the strings to bow every note).
February 15, 201016 yr I really loved the theme as well. It's very dark and fits what you were going after. Nice work!
February 16, 201016 yr Author I spent three days of experimental work is hoped that there is criticism, so my new theory has improved, thank you The problem of Notation issues and orchestration , I will solve
February 16, 201016 yr Very nice theme, Angela. My only thing here is that your idea bounces and the transitions don't fit it well at all. I assume your still working on this, yes?
February 17, 201016 yr This piece brings be back to the old days of Neverwinter Nights 1. Awesome dark atmospheric music and with some work should turn out very nicely. The critisisms I have are already mentioned by jrcramer. Boy, I really want to listen to this recorded by a professional orchestra :phones: I eagarly await any updates!!
February 20, 201016 yr Very good work. I like the dark atmosphere you have created with this piece. I gather it is not fully complete yet - I would like to hear it again when it is! As has been mentioned previously, it would sound amazing if played with a live orchestra. You're definitely on the right track - keep it up!
February 20, 201016 yr Wow.... just... wow. this is AMAZING Angela! You have very interesting harmonies. However, you put in a celesta part, but never wrote anything in it. Some of the tubular bell things you really couldn't do, so, I'd suggest switching out the tubular bells for the celesta, an octave higher, of course, and then get rid of the tubular bell part. Also, in bar 86, the transition is very sudden, and not really that appealing. I would suggest putting a bar of rest, or Grand Pause in between the sections, so as not to have the sudden change. But really, great work!
