Symphony in E-flat, Mov. 4? [OLD STUFF]

I dug out an old sketch from last year and cleaned it up. It fits almost perfectly with the ideas in my new Symphony in E-flat. This little excerpt will be the intro to the 4th mov. as of now.

Thoughts welcome.

4th movement? really? Id be interested to hear the others. It seems like a pretty good opening to me or even an overture perhaps even though the development is slow. You do a nice job restraining yourself throughout the buildup and making it quite exciting when it does hit, I expect some pretty exciting music to follow! I don't really see anything wrong with it as it stands, though the high violin double stops will surely be challenging. I really do see this as a first movement, but guess it can be used as a closer if you insist!

You can find the other movements in the orchestral forum I believe though I haven't updated them in a while.

Hmm.. bit more dissonant than I'm used to hearing of yours!

Great work mate, though. I really really like this. I think, in the beginning, the viola part is TOOOOOOOOO high! I get complaints from a C#, much less a G above that!

Everything else it great. I can't wait to hear the completed Symphony!
