Celebrate! (Fireworks)

Featured Replies

This is a commission piece written for a theme park fireworks/light show display. It will be played during the show in sync with the visual display.

Celebrate! (Fireworks)

Very nice! I like this piece. The main theme is clever, and it really gives a sense of grandeur and wonder that is to be associated with fireworks.

I CAN'T find much to say critique-wise, other that maybe the brass can get a TAD monotonous, but I doubt anyone will pay attention to that because they'll be watching the fireworks.

Really an excellent piece, you should be commended.

Thanks for sharing!

EDIT: Lol. I mean't to say I CAN'T find much to say critique-wise. XD

Absolutely fantastic! I had a whole comment, but it deleted so I'll just tell you that I especially loved the snare and bells, the short quick patterns in high woods and strings, the harp runs, brass fanfares, melodic solos (especially the first horn one - brilliant) and mallet percussion - so basically everything. I wouldn't change anything to be quite honest, this was a remarkable piece.

Thanks! :D

This piece had already gone through two months of work and another forum and lots of friends critiquing it, so it was great to hear from a fresh group of ears that all of that wasn't for naught! The first show is in a month from now, and I think at long last this baby is ready.

Cheers!

Mike
