Dropping Pennies

Hello there, welcome to YC! :D

I like this piece - It's got a simple, yet pretty theme, with nice rhythm and flow. Very beautiful and simple. I like it, and I can't say much critically about this work.

Just a few quick reminders that you should be aware of on this website

- It's helpful to post a score for all your works, as that lets members review your pieces better. Judging by the fact that you said you wrote this electronically (which is fine, most of us do) http://cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp should do the trick.

- Make sure that you put your music in the right section. This piece belongs in the Chamber Music section rather than the Large Works section. Just so you know, the Large Works is only for full-blown orchestras, concert bands, or other large groups (such as brass band, ect.) anything small-ensemble, like string quartets/trios, small wind ensembles, or anything like that, including this piece (I am assuming, without a score, that this is written for guitar, violin, and piano, right?) belongs in Chamber Works. I'll move it there in a minute, don't worry about it.

I really hope you enjoy it here at Young Composers, and encourage you to be an active poster in the forums and chatbox, so we can get to know you better!

Love the piece, nice writing, keep it up!

-MF

Wonderful piece, Julie, this is absolutely on par with the "standard" of the site

--I like the mournful feel mixed with the sort of festive sounding hammering of the piano: it gives the feeling of determination under hardship, and it's a touching thought. Beautiful :happytears:

--Don't carry a good idea to far though! The same theme does go on for an awful long time: try some simple variation to carry the piece to the end. It doesn't have to be anything major, just find a different way of expressing the same idea ;)

Thanks for sharing, this was great! :D
