Guidelines for Video Advertisements

Young Composers is encouraging its members to promote their YC threads through YouTube videos. I created a YouTube account in which I will then "favorite" all YouTube videos advertising a Young Composers thread. This will be a great way to promote your activity on this site. When advertising a thread, I encourage the advertiser to express positive points about the site before advertising your music thread, and to write down the link of your thread in your YouTube description.

Next, post your youtube videos as threads in this forum, so I can categorize all videos within one channel. This could be a great way to advertise Young Composers through word of mouth.

Note: Please include the title "Young Composers" somewhere in your Youtube video title tag. This way when people search for "Young Composer" on youtube, these videos will be included in the results.

Now that's using your head. Great way to promote YC and its composers! It's going to be one huge channel, though.

Just be careful about that. Don't want everybody to sound the same. "This was posted on YC and YC is great because... ... oh, and the thread's about ... *gets to discussion*." Yeah, kinda lame to ask everybody to inflate the site first. Maybe try to sneak in the comments about the site throughout the video little by little if there's anything applicable to say.

If you want it to look professional, perhaps a solid logo or a good tagline (or both) at the beginning of a YC thread related video would be the best solution? Simple and consistent.

That's how you would make it look like a strong institution as opposed to bunch of kids composing in their bedrooms.

If ever you friend or subscribe to me on You Tube, please also send me a message telling me who you are. My channel is also for my young music students, so if a subscriber or subscriber's links/friends have channels with nudity, profanity, etc., I automatically remove the subscriber.
