What a great ensemble to write for! Nice work; it's a very fun piece and you have a wonderful recording. Have you written anything since? I'd love to hear more!

What is the A Level Music Exam?

Hey, thankyou for your comment

Yeah it was a fantastic ensemble to write for, really inspiring group of musicians.

A level exams are the year before Uni in the UK, you do them when your 17/18

I've written quite a lot since, but haven't made any recordings of the pieces yet.

This is totally awesome! :D

--There's such a sneaky, sultry feel in the piece -- but there's more to it than that, as well. There's a sense of playfulness and gingerliness as well  I also appreciate the expressiveness of the players here, it really adds a lot to the piece ;)

--I also think there's fantastic development in the piece, as it merges strong melodic sense with rhythm, especially at the beginning and ending sections. I was pretty enthralled, honestly :P

Thanks for sharing with us, this is basically perfect! I'll give it a 10/10, and I'm also favoriting it

I loved this piece... its basic premise is simple, but the insturments are very well exploited and the recording (surprise-surprise) is top-notch. Favorited as well, for the piece and the superb rendition.

Favoriting. Great work. Another 10/10. Beautifully recorded. How long you been composing ?.

Very nice work here. I love the playfulness of the accompaniment. My one comment, however, is on the overall cohesion of the movement. While your ideas gel fairly nicely, I'm curious as to why you chose to have so many. I think a little brevity and further thinking in regards to the structure of this work would really elevate your wonderful ideas here more fully. Good work, nonetheless. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Sophie!

This one is really beautiful. It has everything. You must be very talented,to write this advanced piece right at the first try.I'm a beginner at composing,so I'm not a good one at judging, but I like it a lot

Okay Sophie. Heres some things be worried about..Your key signitures dont apeal to most strings.Though I like your ideas I would try developing them more so that you can elaborate. The overal theme of this pice is cool to. Though this is a great recording I would get more strings in the key that apeals to them-no more than five flats. Ive seen that cause nightmares. This composition has alot of potental.

Ever heard of Bottle Dances from Sabbath Prayer-you should check that out

Your key signitures dont apeal to most strings.

No, that key signature doesn't appeal to anybody. Nobody likes 7 flats.

But your comment isn't really 100% appropriate, because this piece HAS been premiered already. Obviously, the key sig isn't that big of an issue, otherwise it would've been changed.

Nice job, Sophie. :santa:
