Logic Pro 9 Book worth $50?

Does anyone have a copy of Apple's Logic Pro 9 advanced Music Production? I read some of the contents and cannot tell if its much greater than Apple's Logic Pro 8 Beyond the Basics. If anyone has a copy of this, can you tell me if its worth the $50? I want to buy it, but i need more information, and i dont trust 2 reviews that keep appearing on every single site i go to about the book (very sketchy).

In all honesty, you really don't need another book on Logic. Logic's own documentation is extremely comprehensive and beautifully produced, so you can learn how to do just about anything by just reading the software's own manual (I feel like I say this a lot, but this is why the manual exists in the first place). And the best part is that it's in the box, included, totally free. If you were lucky enough to buy Logic as version 8 then you'd actually have the manuals as physical books (3 or so volumes), but even if not they're still all available as PDFs on your computer and if you really need a physical copy then you can spend a few bucks to have them printed.

Also: welcome to the internet. Everything you ever needed to know about doing anything in Logic is already available in its most up-to-date form right here. The Logic Pro Help Forums are marvelous and a vast repository of knowledge, and there are a whole swathe of YouTube videos with tutorials and helpful tips.

So save yourself the money. :thumbsup:

Besides, Jay Asher's Going Pro With Logic series is far better; partly because Jay is an awesome dude.
