(Obviously incomparable to him, and not because I did this quickly :P) The Reunion At the beginning, this sounded a lot more inspired by the Prestige music by David Julyan than Giacchion! :P Not a bad thing at all though - I like the sound you get. It does sound a little chilling at first however - that's fine, but I'm not sure how that fits into a 'reunion' :P it becomes more reunion-y in the second half though, where I can hear more Giacchino influence (you just haaaad to do the harp note at the end, haha). One thing I think is missing is a powerful melody. Giacchino in his Lost music has very simple melody lines, but also very memorable, which he builds upon throughout the piece. Everything generally centralizes around a specific melody line, and it is reflected even in the parts where you don't hear it directly. I think your piece could similarly use a very strong, simple melody line, because although the overall sound is nice, there's nothing really tying it together. Nice work!
June 28, 201016 yr Hi Sepharite!! Awesome piece...you're excellent at using the piano to stunning effect - it sounds live :) At around 2:23 was a brilliant mometn of enchantment with that choir. In fact, the only thing I could improve on is the mix - I notice that the EQ'ing is a little strange, especially with the strings. I dunno though, it might just be me though. Apart from that though, pretty cool, I loved the piano (as I have said) and I think it's a extremely professional composition throughout :)

LOL yeah I had to do the harp note, I'm just cheap like that. :P Thanks for the comment. CheeseLord, thanks! It piano sounds live probably because I played it in one take, no editing. The piano part is all improv'd. I tried to go for a Ryuichi Sakamoto style, actually, more than Giacchino during the piano solo. Glad you liked it though... but professional? July 3, 201016 yr Beautiful piece. I love the piano, but then again, I'm a sucker for piano in any song. The strings add a real depth, and the samples you're using sound really wonderful. Great work! Hope you continue with these sorts of pieces!

I heard a few of your piano pieces and you have pretty melodies there sometimes, don't you? But I like the mood the piece conveys! Beautifully done :)
July 6, 201016 yr Interesting colour at 0:30. The rhodes (electric piano) is an interesting choice. Fits pretty well :) I liked the rhodes solo. I felt like you could have had a little more support from your pads during parts. Making them very understated. Nice track, Sepharite. Very serene. -John
