brass orchestration- suggestions?

the piece is supposed to be epic-sports but came out abit western, since i had no idea how to create a bigger sound, to develop what was the beginning.

its very short also, i'd love some professional feedback on how to improve the brass and how to make the second part, more in connection to a development and "fatter" sound.

the second part guide lines is that it needs to have a "drive" but keep the brass feel and again, did i say bigger?

Do you have an example of "fat brass" in mind that you could refer us to? As in, find something with the kind of sound you're trying to evoke and link us to it so we get an idea of what you're trying to accomplish.

As far as the mass and the oomph in the sound goes, I'd suggest making a multi consisting of staccato brass, strings, timpani and a bass piano. It should really rock the socks off of you :)

something in the lines of that, but not that mood :) , i may be aiming high, but i believe if i took this score and make it on EWQL it would be resemble.

especially those happening just before 2:00.

when i compare, i hear like my sound is totally thin, and i don't know if its because i didn't use enough registers(ocatves) to make it larger, i think i did.

phant love,

i know what you mean hehe, but its not that simple i think :)

Very nice cue. I'm not sure how you mean to make it fatter though. Do you mean in the synth recording or for the concert stage? Because if its the latter, you'll need to show a score.

Hi J:

I think that you should look at the actual score. Here's a brilliant site where the MIDI files of JW's score can be found: http://musicby.jw-music.net/midi.php?critere=film〈=us ... hopefuly you can find your way from there!!
