October 8, 201015 yr As you all know, the first migration of YC was implemented last December 2009. The major problem with this release (which did not affect our forum) was our weak profile and connections system. The upside however was our strong music categorization system which is why I pushed for us to go live. The good news is we have completely refinished our profile system so that it will actually become useful, and integrate nicely with our forum. I know many of you might think this is just nothing but a facebook clone. But I think if you give this a chance, you will realize this is actually quite different. Facebook doesn't run a forum, and it isn't music centric. YC's network is designed to be fully interactive with our forum, which is quite a big difference. Thus you can organize your threads in your network profile, and further organize your threads by using our "pinning" system, which is equivalent to a bookmarking system. Every profile will have a "binder" tab, in which pinned events will automatically be tracked in the binder. I also believe visibility of threads and responses will increase with this new system. We also modified our browse with a real time search, designed the site to have a narrow appearance (for easier reading), and will integrate an auction system with your profile in case you are interested in making money (or interested in asking for services). There are various privacy options available, but I have not thoroughly tested them yet. I will need the help of the public to fix any privacy option bugs. There may be some downtime during migration tonight. If the developers do not get to the migration tonight, we most likely will be migrating Monday or Tuesday. October 8, 201015 yr Don't take it as a critic, but as a Bug report, but the Network-Forum integrations is worse, no Link works.... I really hope it can be fixed soon. Also, some complain music is missing, the content is currenly copying ?
