Megaman3 title screen music

Hey all,this is a quick rush of a megaman kinda theme, supposed to be for the title screen of the game.

The beginning is really nicely done!

I liked the synth used for the main melody. What program did you use to make this?

I was wondering near the end of the song "now how is this going to be loopable..." and I liked the way you accomplished that.

This is a pretty decent song you've got here! I don't know about it being Megamanlike though... I've played a lot of different Megaman games, and I honestly couldn't picture this kind of stuff in it. That doesn't take away from the fact that it's a great song, though. I like some of the sound effects you've used in it, like the bellish sound in the beginning. Seems to have a pronounced melody too, which is something I often don't pull off, as funny as it sounds. A little repetitive, though.

Hehe, very cool piece you have here. Very catchy melody, it will be stuck in my head all day. I love how you play off the motif throughout, very well done.

At :47, the counter melody could use some work. Sounds a bit harsh at times and could flow better.

I like the change in drums at the one minute mark, then the breakdown till the end. Very cool.

Overall, great piece J! Definitely brings that old snes style, but with a better sound, if you catch my drift.

This tune is very addictive. I would like to hear an extended version with new sections incorporated. Around 0:55 The second synth that was playing the melody, I would like it do to something more interesting in that part. At least lines of 2 or 4 notes rather than a single one. I would like to comment about the mixing but I doubt the speakers I am using right now would bring a helpful comment.

Anyway, I enjoyed it.:)

Edit:

I would consider to centre the tom before the first theme started, or maybe, double tom? One panned to right and the other to left playing one after the other then some "Bam" of another percussion at the centre at the start of your first theme?

you would think i started with that-but i actually ended the piece and added the beginning later. i used alot of cubase 5 synths involving, halion one, spector, fm7, prologue and another one i can't remember.

hehe not a megaman indeed, but it has something similar, since its kinda japanese. repetitive indeed-i still have to figure out what to do with the middle part.

aye that middle part is tricky, glad you liked those drum parts-its from all those c64-amiga hacking groups i was into when i was a kid-listening that is-not hacking of course! they had crazy drum loops intro's i've never heard in any song at the radio before.

indeed, i would like something else too-but its a rush composition(1.5 hour) so i will look into it later, i still have time before the game will come out. regarding toms-yep the drum sampler i was using panned it automatically, i would need to export it and apply it to both channels, or with another trick, but yes-should be fixed.

This tune really has the feeling of the more retro games :), although the sound is more evolved! I like what you made of it, although I often appreciate the symphonic pieces over the electronic pieces. Anyway good job on this one, I think you convey the feeling you need to.
