Dark Business

Dark/mystic cue with strings/harp :)

Dark Business

This piece sort of reminds me of the World of Goo soundtrack, in takes the first two chords from a very familiar chord progression but changing the chords up so it doesn't become generic. Which I think is a good thing. It keeps the listeners on their toes.

While the piece certainly suits the mystical mood, it does seem a little too simple. Perhaps a flute or an oboe hovering above playing an equally mystical melody would make it just a little more interesting and memorable as the constant arpeggios alone just seem like "pretty" music.

Anyways, keep up the good work. - 7/10

Nice track, Danny!

This has more of a Lord of the Rings feel than a dark feel. If you want to create more of a sinister feel, you could try some dissonant chord progressions like changing chords by a semitone or a tritone.

This mystic feel is pretty spot on.

As POW pointed out, a melody overtop would be nice. This is a fine piece for a score of something, but you can make it more interesting as a standalone work if you add a melody line. And World of Goo totally! I think I'm gonna go play some =)

Nice work!

I agree completely with POW. You've changed the progression just in time before I would have stopped caring, so good work!

Nice track. A "dark" flute (flutter <->legato) and harp gliss. would complete the whole atmosphere. A change between minor-scales and subdominant chords would be another possibility to polish up the whole score. Anyhow, a nice track, Danny!

nice one danny, i think you have the vibe of nightish mystic about it, if its for demo purposes i'd invest more time search for more parts and maybe a short melody to fill in, its abit repetitive, or maybe some key changes instead if you don't want to lead.

but its simple and to the point, so nice work.

mmm its so poor.....

nice atmosphere and it could be good for a very background music, but its only a repetitive arpeggio on few chords :(

really, i cant say "i dont like" but musically there is so little....
