Monster Under the Bed

Featured Replies

Hey all! So here's a piece I wrote this afternoon, and I kinda fell in love with it. Took me about 2 hours of work. I wanted to go for a strange and slightly magical ambiance with a bit of tension and fear. I kept it fairly short and focused more on the feel. Nothing fancy, just a fun afternoon project.

Haha... yeah, I guess it's not... It is short, but it also took a short amount of work so... you get what you pay for :) Thanks for listening.

wow, yeah man. i liked it alot.

i mean its not an awesome production, but it sounds like a warcraft 2 theme, really wicked in the cartoony way, reminds me of adamich stuff, really well done. loved that low horn with the chromatic approach to the root in the end of the phrase-very well implanted and yet minimalistic.

that's the way i want my rock'n'roll as ACDC say.

(roll, roll, roll)

This is really really good, reminds me of the music from Trine, which is simply spectacular. Keep up the good work my friend.

Thanks guys!

@J lol, yeah, I'm a big fan of WC soundtracks, this progression is pretty much a rip off, but I wanted to do some experimenting with it myself. Never really sailed into the harmonic minor waters that much before, so I wanted to give it a go. About that phrase with the horn and tuba: The chord prog is actually Emin, Cmin, BMaj (last 3 chords of the phrase) where the horn plays B, C, D#, F# which is as u can see the fifth of B maj.

the title of the ex came to my mind immediately. Then as he began the song, even more so. I like this thread, only sorry that short.
