Guys... my JAW is on the floor. These entries are SO high quality, I'm like SCREAMING over here in composer-nerd land. Great work thus far!

Sorry to hear you need to drop out 7!

Om my goodness, Bach would love these suites. You guys are going to make this a "True" competition. Great job!

I'm sure mine will roll in at 11:59 December 31st....

(My last entry was at 10:59 p.m. only because I didn't realize the site clock wasn't in EST and I could have had an hour more.  )

hahaha. I don't care too much. :P I'd just like to start judging now so I don't have to do it all in a couple of days. These works on behemoth in length.

  • 2 weeks later...

i have a question.

since this is a composition and i suppose not a performance competition, would it be OK if i only uploaded the score of my suite by december 31 and recorded music somewhat later (ca january 10)? because right now i have no equipment to do so. (but i will have it then)

I am not sure about that, and I can not give an authortive answer on this question. Nonetheless, "The God" of this forum can answer better answer for you.

^He's right. I can answer that:

We'll grade what you upload before the deadline. Anything entered after january 1st will not be considered.

Though.. there's nothing in the scoring guidelines that has to do with a recording. ;)

yes, but then you will not be able to hear it.

That's alright! I can play piano, and the other judges can "imagine" the sound. We're all musicians here. Do not worry. Not having sound will not take any scoring points away from your entry. There will be no bias.

Interesting competition, but I just noticed it, lol... Anyway, good luck to the participants!

here is my suite.

recording is bad probably due to my slow computer (some bits are cut off)

i couldn't record allemande, but i put up the score.

unfortunately, the pictures in the zip file are the only thing i can get. as well as the fugue elaborate.

i am sorry for putting this up at the last moment, and for bad quality of sound and score, but i would really appreciate if you objectively evaluated my work.

best regards, viktor

I apologize for the late entry.

Heck, better late than never. After all, that's what deadlines are for! Good luck...

@Morivio(Connor): when do you want the judges scores? I have mine done. Just wanting for the two or essays to be turn in...

Ok! Five solid entries!

Aniolel, have your scores to me as soon as possible. It's just you and me judging.

And, I want to get this out of the way so I can get off this website for good and start 2013. :D
