Kvothe
Hey guys, I was wondering is there way to have polytonal or bitonal in Finale 2012
dscid
Well, I just use a staff in CM/Am, and write in my accidentals...If it's highly chromatic, then there are plenty of accidentals anyway. But, if you must, check out this thread: http://www.youngcomposers.com/t7130/finale-guide-to-more-advanced-techniques/ The fifth post has your answer.
Austenite
But, if you must, check out this thread: http://www.youngcomposers.com/t7130/finale-guide-to-more-advanced-techniques/ Hadn't stumbled into that one before. Great contribution!
Robin123
Ultimately, bitonality doesn't require separate key signatures, or indeed any key signature at all! To do so would be needlessly complicated. Unless if you have an extremely good reason to have a key signature, it's best to just forgo them unless if you're writing completely traditionally tonal music (which you evidently aren't). p7rv
Relatedly, how do you get a strike through on a group of gracenotes (rather than on a single one?)
