May 31, 20169 yr Hello, this is my Joropo for harp; I'd like to know how it makes you feel, what impressions it gives you aurally, as a listener.
May 31, 20169 yr It is wonderful. I was not familiar with the Joropo. It creates a happy and fun atmosphere that is perfectly suitable for the harp. Who is the performer?
May 31, 20169 yr Hi... Joropo is a dance, isn't it? I think this composition takes beatifully the spirit of a dance, in a higher level (as a concert piece). It brings joy (to me), besides, the sound of the harp is wrapping. the end, like a falling wall is surprising. I like it.
June 16, 20169 yr To me the beginning is almost mysterious. Maybe it's just the timbre of the harp. To me it has a feeling of large space. It reminds me of something you would hear in the background of a ballroom. Mysterious is the best word to describe it; Like a masquerade ball. I think in the regard of it being a Joropo, I think it's true to it's name. very party like, but upper class. The ending makes me feel. as though it's not complete. It's not very consonant, which is fine, but if I was a listener of this piece in a venue, I would feel as though it's not finished, as if there's something after. I expected to hear something like an arpeggio on the tonic at the end. However I do think this piece is really cool. The way you accompany the melody was very pleasing to the ear. I liked how I didn't know what was going to happen next. It wasn't boring. Great job, Pedro is it? I enjoyed listening.
June 17, 20169 yr This is fantastic. This sounds to me like a really good use of the harp. I think it gives the impression of a lively dance, which is exactly what its supposed to be. I especially liked the syncopated rhythm you use a few times here (first at around 0:30). It really threw me off my toetapping the first time I listened. Really fun and well-written music.
