August 22, 20169 yr This sketch was up to study how to write instrumental accompaniment for a simple chorus, how to write different variations of a melody, and of course, what sequence I should use. The lyrics are from the medieval ages by Albert Csanády, and it could be used as a sentence of a Christmas oratorio, or something like that. Again, I say it's just an attempt or sketch that I upload, and I'm up to get adives or criticism, in order to get the accompainment, the melody or the sequence better, according to classical construction style. August 27, 20169 yr It's nice. If you're in a classical style, some of the parallel octaves in the voices could have been changed in favor of something that covers what the organ wasn't (either melodically, or rhythmically), but you seem to have a pretty good grasp of what you're going after!
September 12, 20169 yr It sounds like you've got the voice leading down. I heard a few V of V progressions and would like to have heard more of those. Those little things that take you briefly away from the key are important and much appreciated by the listener.
