Up Beat Version 1

Featured Replies

So I've done many musical styles, been to orchestral shows, getting ideas from here and there but failed to finish projects, been moving from project to project but now I have found the style that I want and so I abandoned all my previous projects. The creative side returns.

I like how the build up begins and lead into the drum beat that was cool but then when, what I presume to be, the piano comes in things get a bit shaky for me.

First, I have no problem with how the chords are used but the offset of the drum pattern throws off the cohesive feeling. There is nothing wrong with offsetting but when it's done a bit too much it becomes easy to be distracted and enjoy the music.

The next sound I hear sound like a sustained string, but I can't help but think it sounds alien. It gives this a certain unique color.

It ends abruptly but I know you maybe intend for this to loop?

This is a very staggery recording. I don't know if this was intentional but it sounds very awkward.
Interesting chord choices. The problem is that the reverb carries over and makes the next chord sound wrong. There are some tones like minor ninths and major ninths that combined with diminished chords sounds really cringy. That probably should be fixed.
It sounds like you intend this to be looped. Please do or cut it off on the tonic chord or a mystery chord. It deserves an ending for such a unique progression.
