I wrote quarter note = 73, which was the timing I worked with. The teacher made this correction. Since the 7/8 line goes 1.43 faster than the 5/4 lines (which are the same but one with note duration 50%), 5/4 must have the indication eight = 156 (73 x 2), and 7/8 must have 223 (156x1.43). Interesting. In old works of this type (Renaissance, see Le ray su soleil as example from 1:45; also the Misa Prolatiunum by Ockeghem) the notation is different, keeping the same time measure.
