De indiaan met de fluit

Featured Replies

Hello I want to show my piece for flute and piano, i wrote this for a girl I was in class, as you can hear she was fun, so the music definetly is aswell.

Thanks for listening, feedback is welcome!

Hm. Maybe there's a language issue but I thought blokfluit was a recorder in English. Perhaps I'm wrong.
It's quite a lovely overture. Your engraving in some parts is weird. No cross staff voicing in high bass note parts (especially when there's no soprano anyway?) and some oddly placed useless rests. Nothing too major, just clean it up a bit.
I think some more articulation markings, especially for the solo voice can be put in to add some variety and playful gestures in the music.
Some of the nonharmonic resolutions were strange to me, but they're technically correct... I was just told to avoid using them at all costs... your 8-9 retardations and 9-8 suspensions. You use a lot, and while they are not wrong, I would suggest finding better ways to resolve the harmony.
Nice work!

@Monarcheon blokfluit is a very common flute, maybe you have played it as a child. in my parents time, kids would first play the blokfluit to get an basic concept of what music is, and after wards they would choose an instrument if they were still interested. yes, should definetly add more articulation signs, for loud, quiet etc. thank you for the review!

greetings my friend,

Casper
