The recording is kind of awkward with the piano being quieter than I would expected, but even so, I would have liked to see the two meld a little more in thematic material or polyphony, but what you have here is nice too. May 2, 20178 yr Yeah this recording doesn't really do the piano justice, which is a shame because the piano writing is so good! I really liked the trumpet's cantabile melody at 1:47- it's quite beautiful, but I was sad to see it go away so quickly.
