Wie ben ik? Who am I?

Hallo allemaal! Hello everybody!

Since I haven't introduced myself yet, I want to do it now.

My name is Maarten Bauer and I am from the Netherlands. At the moment I am seventeen years old and I am doing pre-university secundary school. I apologise for my miserable English, I prefer German, but hey English is the lingua franca.
Next year I will have my final exams and after these I want to study composition in Zwolle, The Hague, Rotterdam or Amsterdam.
I have been admitted to the pre-study of the conservatory in Arnhem (ArtEZ) for composition and I will have composition lessons in the next school year.

Besides composing I play the soprano and alto saxophone. I have taught myself to play the piano at a 'low level,' i.e. playing chords and easy sonatas etc.
One of my missions is to create more music for the saxophone family.

I have been composing since one and a half year and I am completely autodidact. This forum is a priceless gem for me: people give feedback on others' works and share their opinions, visions and information related to composition.
My music tastes vary each day, but the music that always interests me is the romantic music, shostakovich and baroque music.

If you have any questions, please ask me and I will answer them!

Groeten uit Nederland, greetings from the Netherlands,

Maarten
