hello,

This is my new string quartet composition. Just listen, and share your opinion! Thanks! :)

I think, overall, the work sounds good. The use of pizzicato is interesting, the thematic material is interesting, and you seem to have a nice contrast in sections. However, ears can be misleading -and a score is something should always be posted when a review (or even opinion) is being asked. My one area of critique would be the overall structure. While the idea of through-composed is strong here, I think the material would be suited to a more thoroughly structured format. The change in the theme is clear throughout -but perhaps restructuring this as a rondo would better assist in memorability. Just a thought. I'd love to see a score to give a more resolute opinion.

Thanks for your opinion jawoodruff, but I don't have score, because I made this composition with DAW software, which is not score based.

No worries! Make sure you mention it in your description.

Very unique opening with the dotted rhythm. Love how the melody is passed around (not many people do that nowadays unfortunately, and I say "let the instruments have a conversation".  The progression into the triplet rhythm at 0:52 was well executed as well. Yet the transition between the two themes at 1:50 was a little awkward so maybe try a better transition there. What I found most interesting was the ostinato rhythm by the cello at 2:50. After that, it sounded like music that would come out of a well produced tv show (maybe in the sci fi/mystery drama side of it). The return to the first theme around 3:30 was appreciated. Good work
