Anna's introduction

Featured Replies

Ahoj! Hello!

My name is Anna and I'm from the Czech republic (it's in the middle of Europe, if you don't know). I have a long surname with lots of strange letters that non-Czech people can't read. I'm seventeen years old.

I have been composing since four years. I was thirteen when I heard Beethoven's Ninth Symphony for the first time and I was like: "Oh, I've never heard anything more beautiful! I want to be like Beethoven! I must compose symphonies!" I started to write a symphony, but only in my head. I remember some parts - it was totally like Beethoven. (Not so good, but so unoriginal.) Then I realised that I don't know anything about music and I started to learn to play the piano.

I really love playing the piano. I'm not sure if I'm good or bad at it, but nevermind. (I play Beethoven's Pathetique Sonata, but that's because my teacher is crazy.) I can also play soprano recorder a bit... well, I still believe that soprano recorder can sound good. And I'm going to learn to play the violin next year.

I hope I'll study on the Prague Conservatoire (if I'll do the exams). I take composition lessons once a week and I prepare to study there.

My best friends are Ludwig van Beethoven, Ferenc Liszt and Johannes Brahms. (And it doesn't mean that I don't have any real friends... no, really!) I also love writing poems and stories, coffee, trains, cats, ravens, snowflakes, sarcasm, irony and other strange things. But English is not my hobby, so I make lots of stupid mistakes.

(And I can't recognise sarcasm and irony in English texts. Please, be nice on me.)

Ahoj! (So funny, because we in Holland use ahoj as a greeting for pirates LOL!)

Nice to meet you, Anna! One day I will visit your beautiful country. Hopefully, it will be soon.

My English is not very good either, so don't worry. Fortunately, we have these splendid translation sites. Phew!

I hope to hear more music from you.

Sbohem!

Welcome, Anna. Your English is quite good. I'm a guy who's here so share my voice about composition.

Thank you very much!

Welcome Anna, nice to meet you

Welcome Anna! The Czech Republic is such a beautiful country--I hope to visit it someday. I wish you best of luck with your application to Prague! And I agree with you, the soprano recorder is such a great instrument.

Hoping to see your compositions here in the future!
