If Nintendo GameCube course from Mario Kart had its own music

Featured Replies

This is a "slightly chaotic" tune I made, intending it for the Nintendo GameCube battle course from Mario Kart: Double Dash! which has a space background.

Better mix

I think over all this would fit very well into a mario kart game. I would say it's a little more 'chaotic' with a very 'raw' sound than normal mario kart music would have, but you mentioned the chaotic nature yourself and I think that would actually work well for a battle course. I also think the gamecube jingle is very well incorporated into the piece.

Good Job.

This is great! I especially liked the short intro; dramatic but the use of open intervals was really cleverly integrated. Couple things; leaving the Gb tonic a little bit more in the main melody would have been nice, even if it was just a reharm of the melody. A C section could have been added, though I don't know the limitations of the Gamecube's rendering hardware. You also had an F∆7/G chord in the intro which was little bit nonfunctional compared to the other ones.
But really well done.

Nah, GameCube doesn't render music notes itself, it's all pre-rendered music like a wav. file, so I don't think I need to worry about that.

Uh... is it the one at 0:11? If it is, I never intended it to be a F Major 7/G, I intended it to be a G7 (add13).

The intro is a recycle of the Nintendo GameCube startup jingle. It's not a direct port, but it's a transcription. I did it because it defines Nintendo GameCube more.
