Percussion ONLY piece

Featured Replies

So a while back, I made a piece for school using only percussive sounds for the intro car chase scene in Quantum Of Solace. Considering how little time I had to actually get it done, I think I did alright. Let me know what you think 🙂

P.S: It's google drive file because that's how I would submit my assignments. If you're having trouble viewing the file, I will provide an alternate link for you

The parts are all appropriate to their instruments, I don't think as a player I'd have any complaints. Separate from the video I think it's not bad, although I could use more sense of direction within the piece. Since it's accompanying the film, I think it should tie a little more to the excitement of the scene. It felt too relaxed, not urgent enough. Think driving rhythms (hee hee, look a pun!) and more crash cymbals (oh look, another pun!!) or something to accentuate the intensity of the scene!

Good work, keep going.

Thank you for the feedback, Gustav. I really appreciate it. I had to do something with the short amount of time I had but I'm glad it made sense... To a minute degree hehe. Thank's again

Yeppers!

I agree with Gustav. I'm also not sure about the hats or shakers. More sticks would seem appropriate.
