June 3, 20196 yr Here goes my new Prelude for orchestra in a A-B-A form. A section: DM (from bar 1) is in Adagio tempo, which remains me the movement on the waves by the shore in a calm sunny day. B section: Bm (froma bar 33) has a Valse tempo and is much more active. Can someone please tell my, if the notation is right? in the A section the beat is to the fourth notes to 68bpm, but in the B section the beat is to the eight notes, so twice as fast. Is it right like it is written or should I indicate tempo 136, instead of 68 on the B section and re-writting that part accordingly? Edited June 3, 20196 yr by Guillem82
June 3, 20196 yr Very beautiful piece! I really enjoyed clarinet melody and this light, relaxed vibe creating by strings. About your question - i don't thing that you need to indicate other tempo, because all 8th notes would become to quarter notes (you would have to rewrite everything) I'd say melody feels right, written in 8th notes. So in this case it would be logical just to change the time signature, because now B part sounds more like 6/8 than 3/4. Anyway, great work, congratz! 🙂
June 4, 20196 yr Author Hi Mariusg, I think your are right, B section sounds more like 6/8...I'll correct it. Thanks for your comments
June 9, 20196 yr Hi Guillem, I really enjoyed this very much ! What is your clarinet VST ? Sounds amazing. The slow parts' mood reminds me a little bit of Mozart clarinet concerto. I love the strings section's picado in the waltz. Congratulations 👍
June 10, 20196 yr Author Thanks Marc!, I'm glad you enjoyed it. All sound are from Vienna Instruments (Special Edition Vol.1). Woodwinds of that collection sound indeed very good. Regards!
