Five Eight-Measure Studies (Series III)

No. 2 bugged me. m. 5 in particular. Beat 2 sounds loose because a lack of a fifth, beat 3 sounds loose because of the lack of a third, and the fourth because it's hard to hear the tonic as continuing without any dynamic markings to make sure it's held over at this slower tempo.

I really like your idea of 8bar micro-compositions. There is not much place here for repetitions of developing the material, but It's a nice exemple of how short a meaningfull composition can be. At the beginning I tryed to write compositions as long as I could, the longer the better, but now I think the quality is not a matter of lenght at all, and here a beautiful exemple of that.

Congratulations for you work and thanks for sharing!

Your idea of micro-compositions remind me of Microcosmos by B.Bartok. Though it's completely diferent in style and sometimes ridiculously simple, I find that's an amazing work from Bartok.
