My new piano composition for review

Featured Replies

Could you please review my new tune created in Ableton live lite

Hi Aditya.  Up to the 30 second mark the simple melodic and harmonic ideas have a certain catchy-ness to them that I enjoy.  After that there are a couple places where you seem to over-complicate your music.  1:30 is a place where the melodic line just goes all over the place and it seems to make no musical sense to me.  The tempo change you have at around 1:10 is a welcome contrast.  Thanks for the music!

Thank you for your review, I have passed these comments to my 13 year old son Aditya and he said thank you. I will upload other tunes from him.

Its a catchy melody and a middle attractive section. I would try to explore changing in some repetitions or parts the left hand pattern.

It's a very nice piece for a child.

But the sooner he gets familiar with changing the pattern in the left hand, the better. Many people rely on a fixed accompaniment and the music becomes boring. No need to change all the time, but it's good to introduce new shapes along the piece. Not focus only on the melody.

Thanks Luis, Will pass this comment to Aditya, interestingly he has composed few pieces on the piano and written it on  a sheet music, those have notes changing in left hand and the ones uploaded here are composed in Ableton where he has focused on drums and melody and will suggest to incorporate your comments.
