montpellier
I have a book with some musician-specific stretches in it. I shall do those. Yup, get the anatomy of piano playing sorted out. Surprising how few people bother to. :P
Hands
Apparently a large part of the pain in my wrists was my habit of hardly moving them while playing. I'm working on that. My teacher moves his wrists so very much. He knows his stuff. He played most of the Chopin etudes, as well as three Scriabin etudes (including the D#) in recital a few weeks ago. CaltechViolist
that HAPPENS to me! my two fingers away from my thumb, fall asleep all the time, for no reason. It could be nerves. my brother probably wrecked them with a door last week. it hurts to touch my elbow now.it can turn my wrist and it'll crack each time. it's kinda weird. but it's fun. i have to turn it a bit every now and then or it'll kinda seize up. Do you mean your last two fingers? Where did the door hit you - hand or elbow?
Mitchell
elbow. it felt burning, while at the same time, it felt like when you hit your funny bone. the cracky write thing has nothing to do with it, i've always been aable to do that
Saiming
Well Hands I get that sometimes, but it is actually cause from the floor-ball sessions:P But what I do is well take it a bit slowly, do some "warm-ups" if it feels ok continue the practise a normal if it still hurts, foces the practise on the other hand. if there is an important "other hand" part, well then try playing it. Thumb rule, try if it hurts, stop.
