April 3, 20214 yr Author I guess I should have prefaced the post with the statement that Kuso Ecstacy is a Super Mario World rom hack. The creator's of these types of rom hacks often include custom or imported graphics and music from other games (or I guess sometimes totally original content as well but I doubt that this particular track is totally original).
April 27, 20223 yr Author Mystery solved! The track in question is from Final Fantasy III (not VI) - The Djinn's Curse. I'm glad I found this version of the piece as it included an instrumentation that was quite different and surprising when compared to the ported version in the hack.
