Duet for english horn and guitar

Here's a lovely and simple new rural/pastoral duet for english horn and guitar.

I don't know enough about English horn or guitar to comment on any issues of playability, but this is certainly very pleasant to listen to, and you give both instruments some time to shine.  Nice job!

I just started playing guitar recently myself so am only just discovering what is idiomatic for the instrument.  Even though the arpeggios that are virtually omnipresent in this piece are definitely possible they are a poor choice for guitar and the interval structure of the strings imo.  Sometimes more open voicings of any given chord would be more appropriate and potentially would allow each chord factor to ring out and harmonize.  Unless of course you intended this piece to be play without letting the arpeggios ring out - then it's fine as it is.  Musically it is quite an unpretentious little melody - thanks for sharing!

I agree with @PeterthePapercomPoser   The role of the guitar would be played better by a non polyphonic instrument. Writing for the guitar is super difficult.

Well, there was no intention overall about letting arpeggios ring or not : I just let the flow come out of my mind, making sure it was playable on the guitar... I get your point nevertheless.

I am - with all modesty - quite an accurate flamenco guitarist and know what it's all about to use arpeggios in their various forms 😉

I agree that some arpeggios used here might be unusual for guitar playing (like the C arpeggio of the first bar... ), but I wanted to give it a try.
