October 4, 20232 yr Hi Luis @Luis Hernández, I always like your galant style pieces, since they are always mixed with a kind of modern analytical approach there like your real life profession requires. Is this movement a certain dance or not? Maybe it's an Allemande due to the 4/4 time but I am not sure. Thx for sharing! Henry
October 4, 20232 yr Author @Henry Ng Tsz Kiu Hello. I didn't write it with any kind of dance in mind. Just to give an outlet for some melodic ideas, etc. This style is very fun and grateful, but I think you have to use those schemata to make it sound like what they were doing at that time.
October 15, 20232 yr I like the tonic pedal of the phrase after the repeat sign. At first the phrase modulates to Bb major through and F7 but then quickly back to a C7 and back to F major. I like those kind of circular modulations which bring harmonic color to this music. Thanks for sharing!
