Composing Tutorial: Crafting Spine-Chilling Horror Music

Featured Replies

Hello Everyone,

I hope it's not a problem that I'm sharing my latest tutorial on composing dark and unsettling horror music. I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments!

Not a problem at all!  It fact, it's just in time for @chopin's Halloween Challenge:

Hopefully your music and tutorial can help inspire people to write some great spine-chilling horror music!  Great job!  I personally would have preferred to see the material presented in score form rather than piano roll, but I'm sure there's plenty of people who prefer the piano roll as they probably compose in a DAW.  Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for your comment! Of course, it would be nice to have a score, but creating one would be a real pain... There’s so much work involved. Unfortunately, the auto-generated score leaves much to be desired. I have 29 video lessons uploaded on my channel, but I think it would be too much to share all of them here, especially since I typically create two new videos each week. 😄
