November 7, 2025Nov 7 Thoughts on my current rough-drafted ideas / progress on a new symphony orchestral score I'm working on? I've updated the structure of it in it's entirety, and have decided to take a different approach on it's design flow... Haven't really come up with much else beyond this point. But I'd like to hear some feedback regarding the current feel of it. There are still some areas where the notation hasn't been filled in all the way, for some measures/chords. November 7, 2025Nov 7 Hey Kyle @UncleRed99! It clearly is captivating and promising "rough" draft! I like the majestic tone overall. I think after the climax in b.31, before going to a quieter section in b.34 you can have a transition instead of just a chord, but it's just a draft now so it's fine haha! I hope the contrasting section in b.34 longer and stay away from the F minor for a bit longer too. Also in the last adagio in b.51 I would add more movement and countermelodies to vary and contrast it with the Adagio beginning, like adding tremolos and some quaver movements between the chords like in b.53 and 58. Why wouldn't I show these chords off for others to enjoy as well 😭 They're gorgeous, I think

Majestic is the right word, and you capture that so well. Some movement in the chords later on would be good to keep your music driving while remaining at a slower tempo. I really like that moment with the cello at bar 38. The color in your music is wonderful as usual!

That tends to happen quite often.. lol but since I do this on my down time, It helps to be forced to take breaks from writing, on a consistent basis, so I have to go deaf to what I wrote a few hours ago. That helps come back at it fresh again. But right now, I'm struggling with how to progress the cello section, into a transition towards an A' or B' section again...

November 15, 2025Nov 15 Author Needing suggestions on potentially what to begin with, moving forward, in terms of what Chapter 1 of this story will be... and How to incorporate elements from the current "Prologue" into it? Never really wrote one in this format before. Figure I'd try something new. The story is mostly paying Homage to the person I used to be, highlighting the turmoil within the circumstances that molded me as the man I am today. So, think in terms of life's traumatic experiences, with that hopefulness intermixed within the chords being the representation of the moments we live for. I'm unsure of what to name this score, at this moment. But I wanted to provide context moving forward for anyone who might have some ideas to put on paper. 🙂
