December 5, 2025Dec 5 A piano piece I wrote called Lazy Day. I think I could've elaborated more in some sections but overall fits the theme of the songย ๐ย Looking for feedback on the piano score as I know notation is not my strong suite. Thanks in advance & hope you enjoyed listening! Lazy Day Score.pdf ย ย
December 16, 2025Dec 16 Hiย @kaiyunmusic I thoroughly enjoy how this resembles Scott Joplin piano works. I love to listen his works on relaxing day.ย Your piece reminds of him. The swung 8th in the right on top of lazy left hand. It just amazing all around.ย ย
December 17, 2025Dec 17 Author Hi @Kvothe Thank you for your kind comment! That is very interesting it reminds you of Scott Joplin. I can hear it a little now that you point it out. One of my favorite pieces to play is Maple Leaf Rag!
February 1Feb 1 Hi @kaiyunmusic! I love your soft-jazz vibe in this piece.ย It reminds me how a dominant chord doesn't have to have a leading tone.ย And I like how you resolved on a major 7th chord without a 3rd.ย Harmonic nuances that give that relaxing jazz vibe.ย The piece is notated well although I might not have used triplets in the penultimate bar but I'm assuming you did that for the sake of your rendition/notation program?ย Thanks for sharing!
February 4Feb 4 Sounds great. I think my only complaints is that I think you overuse the sudden rests a bit in the latter half of the piece, but it is good listening and does what it says on the tin.
February 4Feb 4 Author hi @AngelCityOutlaw, thanks for listening and for your feedback! By sudden rests, do you mean measures 32-38?ย
