    29 now.... on May 5th, I turn 30 :(

I*m the youngest to post so far :sadtears: I'm 14, turning 15 in february

i just turned 15

I'm twenty, as of early July, 2006. Composing since about 16, though that stuff is pretty bad.

  • 2 weeks later...

quite alot of us 14yearolds around which is good to see. My main instrument is guitar.

I'm an ex wanky-shredder-metal type in (metaphorical) rehab blasting myself daily with Bach and various awesome jazz type dudes. While i think my woodshedding days were helpful as my technique improved no end and i can play most things i want to with a little practice what's annoying about the wanky shred forums theres no real discussion about music, it's all

i can sweep pick sextuptets at 160bpm
Yes dickhead' date=' now what's a cadence?[/quote']

wow, lots of dicking around in that post.

Bye, Mark

I'm 31. Hi everybody by the way. I'm a french canadian composer from Montreal - so I hope you'll excuse my mistakes. In short to present myself : I'm still studying at the doctorate degree after 8 years of university study in composition either at the Conservatoire de Montreal and the Montreal's University after.

My music is microtonal oriented and wholy dedicated to this field of study. My music is played mostly by professionnals (lucky me ! :P )

If young composer needs references for reading or composing, feel free to ask, I'll be happy to help as I can.

Vincent-Olivier Gagnon, composer. :P

Be careful what you say about yourself Vince, some people around here are kind of touchy is people start bragging about their music awards who plays your music etc...

there's nothing wrong with what you said, but just be careful

Oh ! Sorry, it wasn't meant to be show-off... I'm new here and might not express myself perfectly !

Will - posting credentials is OK, we only get annoyed if someone puts something like three pages of miscellaneous awards and a complete list of works in every single post!

Common sense is enough.

I understand, I was merely stating a fact, I was not in any way trying to discredit him, I was merely telling him that several others have come on and done similar things.

So Vince, your in the clear buddy

Good to have you here - us Canadians need more representation.

...

Thanks... I feel this is a better welcome. I can say I wasn't sure anymore if I wanted to take time to discuss. I understand though that I don't have to post my CV here. But in aonther way, if I don't tell (however humbly) that I might have more experience than the average here - as I understand it - I guess I might not find myself useful here. As I understand it, the site organizers wish to have more of those

I'm 14, 15 in April 2007. ;)
