November 8, 200520 yr The free way, use soundfonts. There are plenty of free soundfonts all over the web. You can load soundfonts through Cakewalk or your soundblaster live card. There are other ways too I am sure. Furthermore, if you purchase Sibelius, you can also buy Kontact (or it may come with Sibelius) and you can save your midi as an mp3. Sounds much better than a traditional midi file. There are other higher quality solutions, such as using software samplers like GigaStudio or Cubase, and you can purchase specialized samples that are much higher in quality than soundfonts, but this is a big initial investment, and requires some technical knowledge.
December 23, 200520 yr I'd recommend getting Garritan Personal Orchestra for your notation program. What program do you use to notate?
March 14, 200620 yr I recomendered sonar, this program is very easy to work with midi an audio, and finaly when your song born, you can check it to something formats (midi, mp3...). you can use meny meny plugins too.
