colinthomson Posted June 28, 2007 Share Posted June 28, 2007 I DON'T want to be signed up (thought I should make that clear), but in competitions like this do we need to have the score? I am in the opposite situation from Violinfiddler, because I write everything by hand, and then I use VSL and my keyboard to play it, and record it. The only score I get is handwritten (and the one built into Logic Pro, but I have had a hard time getting that to do what I want it too). I assume that will not disqualify me? I think last time we had all competitors email their submission to the competition organiser, who then forwarded all of those onto the judges. The judges then replied with the judgings. Seemed to work pretty well. We'll probably do that this time. Note that the "something else" you come up with in between now and the deadline must be at least 50% new material, as dictated by the competition guideilnes. I don't quite understand you. If your cello piece is in a fit state to be posted right now (i.e. complete), then you may not use it in the competition.
