  1. Past hour
  2. What; do you have a whole tone or augmented triad fetish, sir?😆
  3. Oh yeah...I almost died from a childhood vaccination, allergic to Pertussis Vaccine, and well, I'm alive, well, and drinking beer and shootin' the s*it about music at 56, but it led to some coordination problems. They let me major in composition anyway. My best instrument is Rock electric bass.
  4. They seem harder than the prelude!🤣
  5. That is funny! Also do you don't play your own compositions?
  6. I'm sure I have and would remember immediately! Chopin...You know, my own piano skills are about good enough to play the e minor prelude badly?🤣
  7. So many people hear Prokofiev in my stuff from this time in my life! You are not the first; someone on Noteflight got "major Prokofiev vibes" from Toccata! He was for a long time a composer I respected but didn't listen to much, but something must have stuck!
  8. I like that comment! Also did you listen to Chopin op 60 before? It is also a Barcarolle.
  9. Those wierd parts are also kind of Prokofiev...
  10. A rare example of program music for me. If I can find that Noteflight comment... Forgot to tell you; Barcarolle is a rare example of program music, music that tells a specific story, in my compositional output. It is like the rustic dance interrupted by a storm thing in Beethoven's Sixth Symphony in F, though in my Barcarolle, the story is that some folks with no Nautical Knowledge chartered a boat, like in Gilligan's Island, and went merrily out to sea, or out of port at least. A storm brews, and these dorks are in fear of their lives, but the storm passes, and they go back to shore and get drunk and dance, but of course they are drunk, so the dance is a bit staggered!
  11. Great Barcarolle too. I prefer this toccata though
  12. Nice! Some parts are wierd, but mostly very good.
  13. Yes, it is my kind of #1 hit with my brother!
  14. Nice! I am going to check the Barcarolle now.
  15. Toccata, Barcarolle were from a piano suite I wrote in 1996, mainly in bars and coffeeshops!
  16. Nice toccata! Well Written.
  17. Today
  18. Yes i would like to have feedback on my composition. Particular areas of interest, how you view it's changes in motifs and melodies and your overall opinion as a piano piece!
  19. Yesterday
  20. My tribute to the current state of the world.
  21. I DID NOT WRITE THIS! Well, I did, 29 years ago. I am not that man, without going into details.🤣
  22. Toccata Free Sheet Music by Robert C. Fox for Piano/Keyboard | Noteflight
  23. Try this, the closest Rock thing to a classical piece...
  24. Despite the weak (for Beethoven) last, choral movement. The choral writing is good, if anyone can sing it! The loose theme and variations form doesn't quite hang together...
  25. Yeah I love all three of them as well! But not my most favourite Symphony! Mine is the ninth!
  26. Voted, and it is as I thought, the seventh! Apotheosis of the dance...did Schumann say that? If anyone just said to me "what does a Beethoven symphony sound like?" I would put this on first, not the fifth! But taking another look at the voting results, what's wrong with the second, fourth, and eighth? 😆
  27. You know, I may have been trained in classical composition, but I am a classic rock fan too! RIP, or not...the cat had a great voice!
