WarBorn revisited after published. Version 2 WIP piano sketch
Why hello there, When I was listening to your piece, I heard a compound meter and not simple meter. From the score, you have a simple meter (3/4) with triplets that gave me that me that impression. and Other triplet figures too... Switch 3/4 and replace it with 9/8. you will still have the triplet feel! You might have to adjust some bars to adjust to meter. But overall, you will be surprised... The direct modulation from D-A was a nice surprise. It reminded how J. Williams modulates.

Petals & Manuscripts, waltz for orchestra (most of it)
Why hello there, I would like to see the full, if possible. That way, I can full see how you orchestrated each section. However, what I can do is give a review from the audio. I love the dovetailing in the woods and the cadential closures. That is nice touch. However, I think those authentic cadences might serve a better purpose in a coda, especially with the cymbals. :) The Patti roll was excellent. That provide a great start. I think when you have interchange between piano and strings. With the lyrical melody, use wood wind. Then when you have piano part strings! Strings can handle such bouncy melody. :) Background material: Underneath, you can use brass and woods to create waltz type harmony. Overall, this is charming piece.

That can be difficult if the Scoring Program cant "Keep-Up" with an EXTERNAL midi-Import file. Having a Live Orchestra play your Compositions must very nice and fulfilling . but then what ?........................ For producers like me , its a Dead-End............because it cant be taken any further. Regarding Total-Costs to be paid out to Additional Musicians, Budget restrictions may be a priority, when it comes to paying either: 1: One producer 2: A dozen musicians and also the Re-Editing involved in the Final-Cut, has be taken into consideration that would take more time to Re-Score.....than to post-edit via computer Time is Money.................

WarBorn revisited after published. Version 2 WIP piano sketch
I am trying to do what some of the late romantic composers did in their time: Keep refining even after a work have been published to improve the piece further. (Mahler, Liszt, Bruckner and others did this) Any critique is welcome. I refined and changed a few sections in the piece even re wrote some parts. While some sections stayed the same. Thanks in advance. revisit warborn work in progress.pdfWarborn version 2 wip re write title 05-04-2026 newest - Flow 1.mp3

"If you were to hand you score an orchestra, they will say no thank you. Step one is creating a polish craft." Your Fixation for a perfect pdf Score....is not going to help you, when submitting a composition to a TV Network, for an Intro-Outro Theme, or even a Film-Movie Main Title. I doubt very much if any Executive producer, is going to request a Pdf Score as most people cant read Music. Hes only going to be interested in how YOUR composition will FIT into HIS view of how the music will enhance the complete Final Production. https://www.screenskills.com/job-profiles/browse/unscripted-tv/editorial/executive-producer-unscripted-tv/

This is actually written as a quintet. The reason why there are so many staffs there are to accommodate the different percussion sound fonts for each set up only five players needed.

Petals & Manuscripts, waltz for orchestra (most of it)
This is quite charming! I would love to see a score of the parts that are orchestrated. If I had no context and turned on the radio and this was playing, I would've honestly thought this was a Strauss waltz. That's probably my biggest gripe with this. I think it's suppose to be an homage to the Strauss Viennese Waltz, but it lacks originality or a unique take on the genre.

Sonata in d minor movement 1
Hello there. Let me provide you a clear review of the first movement. First, you have clear sense on motive creation and how to work with it. I see no issue with that. Secondly, I feel with this sonata belongs to baroque period in the way it uses the motive thorough out. For if this way sonata in the classical style, there would be clear sense of period of sentence form with the primary theme followed by transition that modulates to secondary theme. However, you use the basic idea as way to transition to second theme, which is unique. That is why I think it fits more with in Baroque style (A la Scalati and Bach). I appreciate the modal harmony! That is refreshing to hear vs the functional tonal harmony as a standard. Hence, that is why I also thought it was Baroque. The ending of the made of think late baroque, too.

The output is fantastic, you did a great job with the production quality. But when you post in these forums though, please be mindful and respectful of other people's critiques or opinions. Unless you specifically tell us otherwise in your post, you are essentially inviting us to be critical. And @Kvothe 's observation about your sheet music is 100%. It's clear you sequenced this in some other program though, and it appears you are using MuseScore for the output of the sequenced output. This would explain the engraving issues. With that said, the music itself, is beautiful! It instantly brings me back to the 80s!
