This is for a senior assessment task - I am new to the forum and thought that it may be wise to ask for feedback on my composition before I submit it, if possible. It is influenced greatly by Ravel, Salonen and Pärt, and I have aimed to write it in a post-impressionist style. I have written it both for my assessment task, where it will be marked out of 20, and for a school performance as a reflection on the scripture passage Matthew 7:12. I have attempted to include elements of human activity - i.e heartbeats, using the syncopation at the beginning and end, as well as a direction of the players to accompany dynamic shifts with loudness/acceleration of breathing. Here are my overall thoughts about this competition: Overall, the competition was competition went well. I think new members might find the three-month time limit a challenge. However, seasoned members, with the flow. It allows entries to submitted and to be scored fairly. For the spring competition, I was a judge! There was one entry that stand out! Sadly, it was scored very low. For now, the competition should be for fun. and open to all. But I do not want to anyone to bummed out if they score low. So maybe new members should encourage from seasoned to join after they have a couple works? (just a thought).

Heyo! This was the piece I was thinking about entering, but too late did I realize it was composed for a larger ensemble than the competition asked for. Nevertheless, I’d like to hear feedback. I wrote this in high school, about the sunset, the night animals coming out, and the following sunrise. Oof.. lol as I said before though, Musescore Studio is quite poor at translating MIDI to legible notation... As what you show there in that document is quite a jumbled mess of notes on a score. Whenever I am trying to arrange music using MS, typically I elect to simply Transcribe it by ear while listening to the original music. Of course, it is labeled properly with copyrights, and is not typically shared on public platforms unless the copyright holder allows use of their material to be published. (YouTube is quite good at notifying you of whether or not that's the case.)

Over the last month, I have challenged myself to compose every day, and the following 10 pieces are the result. It's been quite a challenge and I need a bit of rest after this, but I'm proud of the amount of work I was able to put into composition this month. Thanks Kyle, I'm so glad you enjoy the piece, as I don't think it's very well known. The tuplets are crazy; but I was just reflecting what was in the original score. Bridge writes them as reduced size notes, rather like Chopin's flourishes; but this was the only way I could think to translate them into midi. One thing I'd like to fix is the tenuto accents in the harp part, as they're too strong at the moment. Will have to see if I can tweak the properties.
