  1. Beautiful and solem! Vaguely reminds me of the Schmidt Symphony No.4.
  2. This was a very interesting listen. My brain goes to Bartok because of the folk aspect and rhythms. Also, I keep thinking: just wait until this guy gets into the changing time signatures every so often and then we'll have a feast!
  3. Uhor started following Fruit hunter
  4. I wrote this in the course of a day almost non-stop, because my vacations end tomorrow. Its quite freely chromatic and quartal and has a lot of space for brooding contemplation. No score for now because the rhythmic spelling is a mess.
  5. Me and the computer "wrote" this using quaternions where a = duration , b = pitch , c = dynamic, d = articulation.
  6. I thought about the rain, it just so happens to have rained last night and your piece fits today's mood spectacularly? If you want to develop that streak further, look no other way than Takemitsu's Rain named pieces: Rain Tree for three percussionists, Rain spell for mixed ensemble, Rain coming for chamber orchestra, Garden rain for brass
  7. Uhor started following veps
  8. Reminds me of Disney, and of Delius' A Mass of Life:
  9. So far it is very lovely in its Mozartian/early Beethoven ways. Perhaps the first movement I would not have made as long but tell that to the Eroica Symphony!. I'm also a sucker for lightweight farewell finales, it lifts the spirit.
  10. As a final composition before I consider myself 'too old' for this forum I composed this Medieval-Renaissance Kyrie of a Mass based on a Royal Gregorian Chant. The counterpoint emphasizes octaves, fifths, fourths and seconds, but it still prioratices independence of voices. Not perfect but hopefully interesting enough.

Sounds great at least for as much as what the title suggests. Jewish influence?
  12. @PeterthePapercomPoser Thank you for taking your time and that fantastic review!
