I’m new to the forum and I thought I would post one of my pieces. I write music for Concert band, Brass band, and Fanfare. These pieces are sent to a publisher for publication. Being a self-taught hm… hobby composer, I hope you will comment on this piece. This band-music may not be to everybody’s liking, but any comment, suggestions, advice etc will be a huge help for me trying to grow as a composer. This is a fanfare I wrote for Concert band. I also made versions for Brass band and Fanfare. These heroes in the title are the first responders we are so dependent upon. Score and rendition are from Finale with “Note Performer”. I like this. Especially No 3 and No 6. The first time I heard No 6 I felt that it took too long before something happened from one bar to the next. Now, I think that’s the best thing about it. I just close my eyes and relax. Waiting for the next chord. I must agree with the others about this being a collection of sketches/ ideas. I do hope you decide to keep this and perhaps develop it further.

What a lovely piece of music. I too would recommend NotePerformer. And yes, to slurs. You might also consider some articulations etc. Very nice. Thank you for sharing
