Help needed for a new musical concept!
I'd like to know a little more about it before I consider this. So I'll wait -_-. Either way, I probably wouldn't end up making a big contribution anyway, but at least there would be the option :D ...

Can you be a good composer without being a good pianist?
I'm not a very good pianist, but I've written above alright, completed pieces. I think it probably helps to make melodies if you are a good pianist, but that's not the only way to.

Has Anyone Noticed...
I wonder if they have arranged his music for Mario for any one instrument.

Am I too old to start another wind instrument?
I sixteen. After doing a little more research on the bassoon embouchure and reed embouchure in general, I think I MAY be able to handle it. But reading certainly doesn't substitute for actual experience, so who knows? Thank you for the input mis compadres.

Am I too old to start another wind instrument?
I'm sorry to plague this board with another "am I too old?" thread, but this a question that has been pressing me for a while. I have decided to adopt a second instrument, preferably a reed, bass clarinet or bassoon in particular. I play euphonium. I was also thinking about cello. Two benefits are that it won't screw up my embouchure and I already read well in bass clef so part one is already finished. Do you have any advice regarding whether or not I am too deep to be dug out?

Memory Waltz (String Orchestra)
Nice. I like the beat and how you kind of carried off the parts based on the beat. I dunno. I'm not very good at articulating my thoughts into musical techno-blab. Nice work though.

How is this Caribbean Piece?
Nice arrangement of the voices. I think this would sound nice for a saxophone quartet.

Adventure in Appalachia
Very nice, but it does kind of carry the same thing throughout. Your base is good though, and I see a lot of potential, so keep working on it. ;)

The Waterfall for Symphony Orchestra
Wow, really nice. I really good see a message being expressed int that. First it expresses the lgiht, calm playful nature of water and then the crushing power of the waterfall. Next, I kind of saw the area underneath the water waterfall, with less light, lots of bubbles. Then is kind of saw the process starting all over again. I don't think I can give any good advice on techniques and stuff, but I really liked how you had somehting gliding quickly in the background a lot of the time.

Waltz of the Scorpions
Yupyup, thanks for the advice and feedback.

Waltz of the Scorpions
Hmm, well, here's the finale version of it, with the original instruments. I think it has a much more spanish feeling, which is what I intended. I know some of the notes are out of range for the bassoon and oboe, but I think that's only present once or twice. piece 6.MUS

This is imortant to me : )
Wow, very nice. I loved how you changed the atmospheres so much, it kept me interested. I'm impressed you wrote this at ten.

Waltz of the Scorpions
This is a piece oringally written for an oboe, bassoons, and bass clarinets, but I decided to arrange it for violin, cello, and string bass instead. SoundClick song info: Waltz of the Scorpions by gbmz - Song info page with free MP3 music downloads

Pirates of the Carribean 3!
The music was good for the film, but it's not enjoyable on it's own for me. I thought Zimmer's trippy music for the World's End was pretty cool though.

Am I going in the right direction with this?
Thanks. :o There are many other things I want to do first with tempo changes and other things. Damn, I really need to get that Songwriter registration crap done...
