Right, I don't think it is, too. But it's something different. Thanks :)

Yep I probably overdid it :D but your right, it was quite new for my style, so really a good experience. Well guitars are really difficult... :( Especially if you don't have perfect samples. This is from EWQL Colossus, which is a good alrounder and features a lot of different instrument kinds, but sadly the quality isn't too good sometimes. I seriously don't know who I'd get a better sound out of them ;) Thanks both of you for the comments!

Homestead
Hey, I'd say this is a good composition overall. I epecially like the beginning (actually more than you minor part ;)) It sounds fresh and adventurous. The middle part actually bored me slightly, no offence. I think it's because you're keep always the same two chords on the piano and only at the star of each bar. Also you could vary more in instrumentation. The strings are present the whole piece. Maybe take them away completely for some time (not too long of course) and put in some more percussion. The flute sounds a bit shrill, I think, but that'll be a sample problem, not you :D Good job!

Nereus
Hey Marius, I actually like this flute in the beginning very much. Together with the water it really feels quite like a wide lonely ocean, imo :) The last part where the strings come in is awsome! Perfect mix as always. I could imagine it very well in a strategy game like anno, or Age of Mythologie (would be fitting with the mythology thing if you know the game ;) Thanks for sharing!

High Security Vault
Hi YC!It's been a while, I'm currently having a full time job to earn some money, so there's quite little time for music :(Anyway I finally got this piece ready. It's some athmosphere wiht harp, morphe and drums at the beginning. Then there's an ebass theme and later some action wiht strong brass instruments. High Security Vault

RPG: The RPG
Hey John, it's a really interesting piece, I think. I agree with Abdullah about the part from 1:12 on. Personally, I feel like pizzicato celli would fit in great there, maybe staccato flutes, too, or something, all very little of course... Overall the orchestration feels a bit weird. If you add a few things here and there, this could be very good :)

Mutation
hey, maybe you coult come in with some high pitched violins after the effect at 1:02, if you want to. But I don't think the piece needs any more. Anyway a little experimenting is always a good thing :) Very good work!

Hardcore Criminal
Nice beat, I'd really like to hear some developement. Why don't you put some brass over it like jtay said, maybe slowly swelling up. Or deep strings, or an electric guitar etc. Sounds like a very good start so far!

Experimental Filmmusic
Very cool track! I think your tambourine from 1:12 on is a little too loud in the mix, you should turn it a bit down (maybe give it a bit more reverb) so that it would sound a bit more distant to fit in the rest of your track. But I really like it, great sound!

A Walk for Two(Cello and Piano)
Sounds very pretty! I'm rather curious about the recording. How many mics did you use and where did you put them? (I also do a piano recording sometimes and it never really sounds the way I want it to :) I don't really mind there being little harmonic changes, on the contrary it makes this track very pleasant to listen to. You're putting a lot of emotion in there with your playing. Good work!

Shadow Era
Great work, Marius! It's almost a shame that most people will experience this awsome music only on their little ipone speakers ;) I especially like the electric guitar sound in the main theme, you really did it there! Thanks fo sharing!

happy tune
Very nice music, Abdullah. Reminds me a bit of the Lord of the Rings Scores (the pizzicato sections are very hobbitlike ;) ) and the slow passages a bit of Nicholas Hooper's Harry Potter scores. Did you compose that piece with your notation software (sibelius or finale?) or in the sequencer? Anyway, it's a very pleasant piece to listen to and I don't actually mind the ending.
